You do not need to switch everything at once. Run both systems in parallel until you are ready.
Day 1-2
Export your full inventory from BinderPOS as CSV
Export your customer list with store credit balances
Export event history if needed for reference
Create a SortSwift account (free tier is fine to start)
Import inventory CSV using SortSwift's CSV Suite
Map BinderPOS columns to SortSwift fields during import
Verify import counts match your BinderPOS totals
Manually set up store credit balances for active customers
Day 2-3
Connect Shopify integration (if using Shopify)
Connect eBay integration and verify listing sync
Set up additional marketplaces (CardTrader, ManaPool, Square)
Configure autopricing rules for your categories
Set up POS stations and test a sample transaction
Configure buylist settings if you accept trade-ins
Verify TCGplayer order deduction flow
Day 3-7
Run both systems side by side for daily operations
Process a few real POS transactions in SortSwift
Verify inventory counts stay accurate across channels
Confirm order routing works for each marketplace
Test your scanning workflow (mobile, web, or hardware)
When confident, make SortSwift your primary system
Cancel BinderPOS after confirming full cutover

| BinderPOS Shopify theme customizations | Changes | Shopify themes remain, but BinderPOS-specific Liquid blocks may need updating |
| Native TCGplayer listing/pricing push | Changes | SortSwift uses semi-sync (order deductions only) |
| BinderPOS-specific reports | Changes | SortSwift has its own reporting suite |
We want you to go in with clear expectations. Here is what works differently.
BinderPOS store credit balances do not transfer automatically. Export your customer list with balances and re-enter them in SortSwift customer management. For stores with hundreds of active credit balances, budget an extra hour or two.
BinderPOS has first-party TCGplayer integration (they are owned by TCGplayer). SortSwift connects for order deductions, but cannot push new listings or pricing changes to TCGplayer through their API. You will manage TCGplayer listings directly on TCGplayer.
If your Shopify theme uses BinderPOS-specific Liquid blocks or app embeds, those sections will stop working after removing the BinderPOS app. Standard Shopify themes continue working. SortSwift syncs inventory to Shopify but does not inject custom Liquid.
SortSwift has event management with pairings and brackets, but it is currently in beta and available on Core tier and above. If events are critical to your operation, test the beta before fully cutting over.
2,500 items, 500 scans/month. Good for testing the migration flow before committing to a paid plan.
Your existing BinderPOS subscription continues during the parallel run period. Cancel once you have fully cut over.
If you keep Shopify, the subscription continues. SortSwift does not require Shopify, so this becomes optional after migration.
Real migration timelines based on store size.
Day 1: Export CSV from BinderPOS, import into SortSwift free tier. Day 2: Connect Shopify and eBay, configure POS. Day 3-4: Run parallel, cut over when ready. Most small stores finish in a long weekend.
Day 1: Export and import inventory (larger CSVs may take a few hours to process). Day 2: Connect integrations and set up autopricing rules. Day 3: Configure POS and buylist. Day 4-7: Parallel run covering a normal sales week.
Day 1-2: Staged inventory import (split CSVs by game if needed). Day 3-4: Integration setup with per-category autopricing. Day 5-7: Parallel operations testing all channels. Day 8-10: Final verification and cutover. Consider booking a call with the SortSwift team for large migrations.

Do I need to cancel BinderPOS before starting?
No. We recommend running both systems in parallel for 3-7 days before fully switching. Only cancel BinderPOS once you are confident SortSwift is handling your workflows.
Can I keep my Shopify store?
Yes. SortSwift integrates with Shopify for inventory sync and order routing. Your existing Shopify theme and customer base stay intact.
Will I lose my TCGplayer listings?
No. Your TCGplayer listings are tied to your TCGplayer seller account, not to BinderPOS. SortSwift connects to TCGplayer for order deductions, but listing creation and pricing pushes are handled directly on TCGplayer.
What about store credit balances?
Store credit balances from BinderPOS need to be manually recreated in SortSwift. Export your customer list with balances from BinderPOS and use the SortSwift customer management tools to set them up.
How much does it cost to run both systems during migration?
SortSwift has a free Entry tier (2,500 items, 500 scans/month) that works for testing during migration. You can upgrade once you are ready to go live. You will still be paying your BinderPOS subscription during the overlap period.
What if I have more than 2,500 items?
For migration testing with larger inventories, you can start on any paid tier. The Entry+ tier at $19/month supports 7,500 items. You can change tiers at any time.
Does SortSwift handle eBay the same way as BinderPOS?
Yes. Both platforms sync inventory and orders with eBay. SortSwift additionally supports CardTrader, ManaPool, Square, and Misprint (Pokemon) sync that BinderPOS does not offer.
Create a free account and import your inventory. Upgrade when you are ready.
