Direct to Web Setup
Stream camera captures directly into SortSwift for rapid-fire scanning stations.
Hardware Checklist
- DSLR or mirrorless camera with HDMI or USB output.
- Capture card (Elgato Cam Link or similar) for HDMI cameras.
- Tripod or overhead mount with consistent lighting.
- Workstation running Chrome or Edge with the SortSwift uploader.
Software Setup
- Install the camera's tethering utility or enable USB webcam mode.
- Connect the camera to the workstation and verify it appears as a video source.
- Open SortSwift and navigate to Scanning → Direct to Web.
- Select the camera in the device dropdown and grant browser permissions.
Scanning Workflow
- Place cards on the scanning surface and align under the camera guidelines.
- Press the capture hotkey (spacebar by default) or use a USB foot pedal.
- SortSwift uploads the image instantly and queues it for recognition.
- Use the right-hand panel to review shots, delete misfires, or add notes.
