Return some items or the entire order. The system recalculates totals, tax refunds, and restores inventory only for returned items.
In a partial return, you select only the items the customer is returning. Uncheck items they are keeping. You can also adjust quantities—e.g., if they bought 3 copies but only return 2, set the return quantity to 2.
The refund amount is calculated from the selected items and quantities only. Tax is recalculated proportionally for the returned portion.
For a full return, select all items (or use a full-return shortcut if available). The entire order total is refunded and all items are restored to inventory. This is useful when a customer returns everything.
Returned items are automatically added back to stock. The system records the inventory increase so your stock levels stay accurate. Only the items and quantities you select for return are restored.
Each order stores its return history. You can see what was returned, when, and how it was refunded. Multiple partial returns on the same order are supported—e.g., return item A today and item B later.
