E-Transfer Payments
E-Transfer is a payment method for orders paid via electronic transfer (Interac e-Transfer, bank transfer, etc.). The POS records the payment; processing happens outside the system.
How It Works
Select E-Transfer at checkout to mark the order as paid by e-transfer. The system records the payment amount and updates the order status. No funds are processed through SortSwift—you handle the actual transfer in your banking app or platform.
Typical Use Cases
- Customer pays via Interac e-Transfer before picking up
- Phone or online orders paid by bank transfer
- Any payment received outside the POS that you want to log
Tracking and Reporting
E-transfer payments are included in payment method breakdowns and till reports. They help you reconcile expected vs actual cash (since e-transfer does not affect the cash drawer) and provide a complete picture of how customers paid.
