Pushing to Inventory

Push approved items to live inventory, bulk push operations, and push workflows.


Pushing Single Staging Inventory

To push a single staging inventory:

  1. Review and approve desired stock items in the staging inventory
  2. Click "Push to Inventory" button on the staging card
  3. Review push summary dialog showing what will be pushed
  4. Confirm push - only approved items are added
  5. Approved items are added to live inventory
  6. Rejected items are deleted
  7. Staging inventory is marked as pushed

Bulk Push Operations

To push multiple staging inventories:

  1. Select multiple staging inventories using checkboxes
  2. Ensure items you want to push are approved
  3. Click "Push Selected" button
  4. Review push summary dialog
  5. Confirm push - all approved items go live
  6. Monitor progress bar for large pushes
  7. Review push results and any errors

What Happens When Pushing

When you push approved items:

  • Approved Stock Items: Added to live inventory
  • Existing Inventory: If inventory document exists, stock items are merged
  • New Inventory: If inventory document doesn't exist, new one is created
  • Import Logs: Import log entry created for each added stock item
  • Platform Syncs: Automatic syncs triggered to Shopify, CardTrader, etc. (if enabled)
  • Rejected Items: Permanently deleted from staging
  • Staging Status: Staging inventory marked as pushed

Push Summary Dialog

Before pushing, review the summary:

  • Items Count: Number of approved items to be pushed
  • Total Quantity: Sum of quantities being added
  • Affected Products: List of products that will be updated
  • Warnings: Any warnings or issues detected
  • Confirm Button: Final confirmation to proceed
  • Cancel Button: Cancel and return to staging

Push Progress

During bulk push operations:

  • Progress bar shows push completion percentage
  • Current item being processed is displayed
  • Large pushes may take several minutes
  • Do not close browser during push
  • Push can be cancelled if needed

Handling Push Errors

If push errors occur:

  • Review error messages in push results
  • Failed items remain in staging
  • Successfully pushed items are already in live inventory
  • Fix errors and retry push for failed items
  • Common errors: SKU resolution failures, validation errors
