What is Location Summary?

Location Summary provides a comprehensive overview of inventory at each location:

• Per-Location Stats: See inventory metrics for each location (remark)
• Inventory Grouped by Location: Browse items by bin, shelf, or area
• Location Verification: Spot missing, blank, or inconsistent location values
• Transfer Between Locations: Move items from one location to another
• Cleanup Unknown Locations: Fix or consolidate unknown, typo'd, or duplicate location names
• Comparison: Compare inventory counts and values across locations

Viewing Location Summary

Access location summary data:

1. Navigate to /inventory/location-summary
2. View list of all your locations
3. See summary statistics for each location
4. Click on a location for detailed breakdown

Summary Metrics

Key metrics displayed for each location:

• Total Items: Count of unique items
• Total Quantity: Sum of all quantities
• Total Value: Combined value of all inventory
• Total Cost: Total cost investment
• Categories: Number of different game categories
• Sets: Number of different sets

Location Comparison

Compare inventory across locations:

• Side-by-Side: View multiple locations together
• Value Distribution: See where most value is located
• Stock Levels: Compare stock quantities
• Category Mix: Compare product mix per location

Drill-Down Details

View detailed breakdowns:

• By Game: See each game's inventory at location
• By Set: View set distribution
• By Condition: Condition breakdown per location
• By Value: High-value items at each location

Transfer Between Locations

Move inventory from one location to another:

• From Location Summary: Select a location, choose items, and transfer to a new remark
• From Transfer Page: Use /inventory/transfer for bulk transfers by search or filter
• Bulk Transfer: Select multiple items and move them in one operation

Cleanup Unknown Locations

Fix inconsistent or orphaned location data:

• Identify Unknown: View items with blank, "unknown", or non-standard location values
• Consolidate Typos: Merge similar location names (e.g., "A1" vs "a1") into a single standard
• Assign Locations: Assign correct locations to items that were previously unlocated
• Improve Picklists: Clean location data improves location-based picklist grouping
