Log Types

Understand import logs, deduction logs, adjustment logs, and what each log type represents.


Import Logs

Import logs record when items were added via CSV import:

  • Source: CSV file import operations
  • Action: Adds quantity to inventory
  • Details: Includes filename, row number, quantity imported
  • Reversible: Can be undone to reverse imports
  • Fields: Product, SKU ID, quantity, price, condition, language, printing

Deduction Logs

Deduction logs record when inventory was reduced:

  • Source: Sales, damage, loss, manual deductions
  • Action: Reduces quantity from inventory
  • Details: Includes reason, quantity deducted, order reference
  • Reversible: Can be undone in some cases
  • Fields: Product, SKU ID, quantity deducted, reason, order ID

Adjustment Logs

Adjustment logs record manual quantity changes:

  • Source: Manual stock adjustments from inventory management
  • Action: Sets quantity to specific value
  • Details: Includes old quantity, new quantity, reason
  • Reversible: Can be undone to restore previous quantity
  • Fields: Product, SKU ID, old quantity, new quantity, reason

Identifying Log Types

Log types are distinguished by:

  • Icon: Different icons for each log type
  • Type Column: Explicitly labeled in the table
  • Color Coding: Visual indicators for each type
  • Details: Different fields shown based on log type
  • Filter Tabs: Switch between log types using tabs
