Update multiple inventory fields across many items simultaneously.
Overview
Bulk updates allow you to change any field for multiple items:
- Any Field: Update quantities, prices, locations, conditions, etc.
- Mass Changes: Apply changes to hundreds of items at once
- Safe Preview: See changes before applying
- Flexible Selection: Update specific items or entire categories
Fields You Can Update
- Pricing: Set or adjust selling prices
- Cost: Update purchase costs
- Quantity: Set or adjust stock quantities
- Location: Move to different location
- Condition: Update card conditions
- Language: Change language designation
- Notes: Add or update notes
- Platform Settings: Assign to platforms
Bulk Update Process
To perform a bulk update:
- Filter and select items to update
- Click "Bulk Update"
- Choose which field(s) to update
- Enter new value(s)
- Preview the changes
- Review impact summary
- Confirm update
- Monitor progress
- Review results
Update Methods
Different ways to update fields:
- Set Value: Set all items to same value
- Add Amount: Increase by specific amount
- Subtract Amount: Decrease by specific amount
- Percentage Change: Adjust by percentage
- Formula: Apply custom calculation
- Conditional: Update based on current value
Bulk Quantity Updates
Update quantities in bulk:
- Set to Specific: Set all to same quantity
- Add Stock: Increase all by same amount
- Reduce Stock: Decrease all by same amount
- Set to Zero: Clear stock for all selected
- Match Physical Count: Upload CSV with actual counts
Bulk Location Updates
Move items between locations in bulk:
- Select items to move
- Click "Change Location"
- Select new location
- Add notes about the move (optional)
- Confirm move
- All items transfer to new location
CSV Bulk Updates
Use CSV files for complex bulk updates:
- Export current inventory to CSV
- Edit values in the CSV file
- Upload modified CSV
- System compares new values to current
- Preview all changes
- Confirm updates
- All items update based on CSV
Important: Bulk updates affect live inventory and sync to platforms. Always preview carefully and consider testing with a small batch first for critical updates.
