What is Advanced Location Mode?

Advanced Location Mode allows you to map your SortSwift inventory locations to specific Shopify locations:

• Multi-Location Support: Sync inventory to different Shopify store locations
• Location Mapping: Map SortSwift locations to Shopify locations
• Independent Sync: Each location syncs separately
• Stock Accuracy: Maintain accurate stock levels per location

Enabling Advanced Location Mode

To enable advanced location mode:

1. Navigate to Shopify integration settings
2. Find the "Location Settings" section
3. Enable "Advanced Location Mode"
4. Your Shopify locations will be fetched automatically
5. Begin mapping your SortSwift locations

Mapping Locations

Map your SortSwift locations to Shopify:

1. View the list of your SortSwift locations
2. For each location, select the corresponding Shopify location
3. Save your location mappings
4. Test sync for each mapped location
5. Verify inventory appears at correct Shopify locations

Sync Behavior with Locations

How inventory syncs with location mode enabled:

• Location-Specific Quantities: Each location's stock syncs independently
• Total Availability: Shopify shows combined stock across all locations
• New Products: Created at all mapped locations
• Updates: Quantity updates apply to specific locations only

Handling Unmapped Locations

Inventory from unmapped SortSwift locations:

• Default Location: Can sync to a default Shopify location
• Skip Sync: Option to exclude unmapped inventory from sync
• Warnings: System warns about unmapped locations during sync

Best Practices

• Clear Naming: Use consistent names for locations in both systems
• Test First: Test with a few items before full sync
• Regular Verification: Periodically verify location mappings are correct
• Document Mappings: Keep a record of which locations map to which
