Accessing Profile Settings

How to access your profile:

1. Navigate to /profile
2. Or click on your user menu/avatar in the navigation
3. Profile page shows "Profile" heading
4. Form displays with current account information

Personal Information

Update your personal details:

• Display Name: The name shown for your account
• Store Name: Your store or business name (used on receipts, buylist, kiosk)
• Email: Contact email for account and business communications

Store Information

Configure your store details:

• Store Name: Name of your store/business
• Store Logo: Upload store logo—used across buylist portal, kiosk, and receipts
• Contact Information: Address, phone, website as needed

Tax Settings

Configure tax-related information:

• Tax Rate: Percentage rate for tax calculations
• Tax ID: Your business tax identification number
• Round to Nearest $0.05: Toggle to round prices to nearest nickel

Currency Settings

Set your store currency:

• Store Currency: Select from available currencies (USD, CAD, EUR, etc.)
• Currency Symbol: Automatically updates based on selection
• Impact: Affects pricing display across the platform
• Header Update: Currency in navigation header updates automatically

Uploading Store Logo

Steps to upload logo:

1. Click "Choose File" or file input button
2. Select image file from your device
3. Supported formats: JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP
4. Preview appears after selection
5. Logo uploads when you save profile
6. Logo displayed in POS, buylist, and other store interfaces

Saving Profile Changes

How to save your updates:

1. Make changes to any profile fields
2. Click "Save" or "Update Profile" button
3. Loading indicator shows during save
4. Success message appears: "Profile updated successfully!"
5. Currency preference syncs to header immediately
6. User data refreshes to reflect changes

Error Handling

Common errors and solutions:

• Save Failed: Check internet connection, try again
• Logo Upload Error: Ensure file is valid image format, not too large
• Currency Sync Error: Currency preference updates separately if sync fails
• Validation Errors: Check field requirements (email format, etc.)
• Network Timeout: Refresh page and try saving again
