Delete staff accounts, understand data retention, and handle account removal.
Warning: Permanent Action
Deleting a staff account is a permanent action that cannot be undone. The account and all associated data will be removed from the system immediately.
Accessing the Delete Dialog
To delete a staff account:
- Navigate to /integrations/staffaccounts
- Locate the staff account in the "Staff Accounts" table
- Click the "Delete" icon (trash icon) in the "Actions" column
- A confirmation dialog appears asking "Are you sure you want to delete POS Staff 'username'?"

The confirmation dialog provides:
- Warning Message: Shows the staff member's username to confirm identity
- Confirmation Text: "Are you sure you want to delete POS Staff 'username'?"
- Cancel Button: Closes dialog without deleting
- Delete Button: Confirms and executes the deletion
Step-by-Step Deletion Process
Follow these steps to delete a staff account:
- Open the "Staff Accounts" page at /integrations/staffaccounts
- Locate the staff account you want to delete in the table
- Click the "Delete" icon (trash icon) in that row's "Actions" column
- Review the confirmation dialog - verify you have the correct staff account
- Click the "Delete" button to confirm deletion
- Wait for the operation to complete
- The staff account is immediately removed from the table
- Success message appears: "Operation successful!"
- If this was the last staff account, the "No POS Staff registered yet" message appears
Data Retention
Important information about data retention:
- Account Data: All account information (username, permissions) is permanently removed
- Sales Records: Historical sales transactions created by this staff member are preserved
- Order History: Orders processed by this staff member remain in the system
- Audit Trail: System logs may retain references to the deleted account ID
- No Backup: There is no automatic backup of deleted accounts
Important: If you may need the staff account again in the future, consider leaving it inactive rather than deleting it. You can always create a new account if needed.
Canceling Deletion
To cancel the deletion, click the "Cancel" button in the confirmation dialog or click outside the dialog if configured. The dialog closes without deleting anything and the staff account remains unchanged.
